House of Prayer

Our vision for Grace when it comes to prayer, is to be a church where each member is individually and corporately devoted to consistent, earnest, and expectant prayer.

“They all joined together constantly in prayer…” Acts 1:14

“People who know their God are before anything else, people who pray… If, however, there is in us little energy for such prayer, and little consequent practice of it, this is a sure sign that as yet we scarcely know our God.” J. I. Packer

Praying together as a local church…

  • Cultivates dependence upon one another as the body of Christ and develops the unity and community God has saved us to enjoy.
  • Unites us around God’s purposes, helping us think like a “we” and not just like a group of “me’s.”
  • Teaches us how and spurs us on to pray.
  • Prepares us for God to act (making us expectant) and promotes our action (making us eager to participate in how God will answer prayer).
