Passage: John 16:16-33

We are a diverse church family. But, even with our differences – ethnic, cultural, generational, and more! – God’s Word informs us that we are all ONE (Ephesians 2:14).

ONE is the theme of the 2nd Annual Conference on Apologetics and Culture. This year, it is being held in partnership between Grace EV Free in La Mirada and Community of Faith Bible Church in South Gate. Panel discussions will precede each talk that will be followed by small and large group discussions. Join us in the lower lot of Grace on the evenings of April 24-25, as well as at Grace at 9am or Community of Faith at 10am on Sunday morning, as we speak from God’s word, as well as our experience about what it means to be, ONE.

More Than Conquerors

October 19-20, 2019

Romans 8 is a truly remarkable chapter that has comforted and blessed Christians throughout the ages. This is the case because Romans 8 summarizes the Gospel. As one author puts it, “If you know Romans 8 then you know the Gospel.” This chapter tells us that if we are in Christ then we are perfectly safe. As the song goes, “no power of hell, no scheme of man” will ever “pluck” us from the hands of God since he has so wonderfully and so lovingly redeemed us to himself through Jesus Christ. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus who loved us!

Spend October 19-20 exploring and mining the truths contained in this incredibly important chapter at Grace’s 3rd Annual Fall Bible Conference.

Breakout Sesssions

Living in the Spirit – Jerrel Haugen, Brianna Smith

What does is it mean to live in the Spirit? Our thoughts on the matter can be vague and fuzzy. But Romans 8 clearly and practically teaches one how to live in the Spirit. Come and learn from two persons who regularly work at putting this passage into practice.

The Gospel-Centered Life – Jason Oakes, Jan Buck
It has been said that to know Romans 8 is to know the gospel. But, what does it mean to live the gospel day by day? In this session, hear what it means to live a Gospel-centered life from two persons who have been especially shaped by its transforming power.
