September 7, 2025

As the new school year begins, we’ve got a guest coming to speak to us about the rich blessings that come through memorizing and meditating on the word of God.

Ken Berding is professor of New Testament at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University, and the director of Bible Fluency. He is the author of numerous books and articles and was previously a church planter in the Middle East. His most recent book, The Bible by Heart: The Bible’s Own Method for Scripture Memory will be released in January 2026. He regularly blogs at The Good Book Blog. Ken is married to Trudi and has four daughters.

With Psalm 119 as a guide, Ken will encourage us further along the path of Loving and Learning God’s Word in our morning worship services. Caleb Bilti will be leading us in our sung worship. Would you pray for each as they prepare? And in preparation for Sunday, set aside some time to sit and read Psalm 119 slowly and prayerfully, asking God to help us be a people who regularly “store up His word in our hearts” (Psalm 119:11).

Then join us at 6pm for our monthly evening Lord’s Supper service. Junior Jamreonvit will be sharing a word of preparation and our Student Ministry Resident, Caleb Barker, will be leading us in singing. We’ve also got a great list of family time items to work through, too, so don’t miss it!

See you Sunday, Grace. Come hungry!

Ever busy, prone to worry,
Anxious in these troubled times
As the noise from striving stifles
Heaven’s joys and God’s designs
“Come to me, ” Christ’s invitation
Calls to be his honored guest
Rest awaits there, true contentment
Life, its fullest and its best
