“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Psalm 46:10)
This Sunday, we will hear God’s first spoken words in Exodus, as he calls to Moses from a burning bush. And that concluding line from Psalm 46 sums it up pretty well.
Keep your distance, Moses. This is holy ground. Listen carefully. Let me tell you who I AM and what I’m about to do in the sight of the nations.
This chapter is packed God’s self-revelation of His glorious character and nature. He is eternal. Holy. Almighty. Compassionate. He is a benevolent covenant maker and a faithful covenant keeper.
Erik Thoennes will be preaching from Exodus 3:1-22 and Kenny Clark will be leading our sung worship. We would love your prayer as we each prepare. And let’s ask God to help our hearts assume the posture of this image above as we gather this Sunday to know Him and exalt Him.
See you Sunday, Grace. Come hungry!
