This Sunday we will conclude our Created series by considering a fourth answer to the question, “What is man?” We are male and female!

“So God created man in his own image,
        in the image of God he created him;
        male and female he created them. (Gen. 1:27)

Notice how “male and female” parallel “in the image of God.” One of the ways God’s image is displayed in us is through the distinctions between male and female and the ways in which we relate to one another as male and female. In fact, it is only after creating man as male and female and giving them dominion over the created world that God declared, “Behold, it was very good.”

This Sunday we will see that God created us male and female for our joy, for the advance of the gospel, and for the glory of God. Erik Thoennes will be preaching and Kenny Clark will be leading our sung worship. Would you pray for each as they prepare?
