Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other,
and the Lord listened and heard.
A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence
concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.
MALACHI 3:16
So much happens when God’s people get together in His name. We are actually being transformed as we rub off on each other, and the sorrows and joys each of us share please our Lord. Malachi points out that He actually eavesdrops in on our conversation while humming along as we sing 10,000 reasons (the humming part is “implied” in the text ☺), recording His observations in the scroll of remembrance.
This coming Sunday we welcome the Grace Fullerton folks back into our midst. What a wonderful opportunity we now have to roll up our collective shirtsleeves and get to work together, doing the work that God has called us to on the one campus.
Erik Thoennes will be preaching the following text, giving focus and direction to our future days, building expectation for what God might soon do among us.
He is the one we proclaim,
admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom,
so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.

Be praying for a new openness to the Spirit, an intentional looking out for each other, a revitalized zeal and fervor, and a fresh energy that can only be explained as the power of God at work in us. Come expecting that as God changes us, La Mirada will be impacted, along with the surrounding communities and ultimately the world.
