Preparing the Table
GOOD FRIDAY | April 3 | 6:00 pm
The hymn Stricken, Smitten, and Afflicted (Thomas Kelly, 1804) reminds us that to reflect on Jesus’ suffering on the cross is a corrective to our underestimating of the sinfulness of our sin.
Ye who think of sin but lightly,
Nor suppose the evil great,
Here may view its nature rightly,
Here its guilt may estimate.
Mark the sacrifice appointed,
See who bears the awful load;
’Tis the Word, the Lord’s Anointed,
Son of Man and Son of God.
But it is also a corrective to our underestimating of the love of Christ.
“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
Join us Friday evening as we slow down to remember all that Jesus endured for the joy set before him, when he “gave himself as a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:6).”
EASTER SUNDAY | April 35| 8:00, 9:30, 11:00 am
Psalm 89 says, “Blessed are the people who know the festal shout.”
The roaring Song of Moses in Exodus 15, “Sing to the LORD for He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea!” was a festal shout.
The walls of Jericho fell at the festal shout of the people of Israel, accompanied by the blast of mighty trumpets (Joshua 6:5). David returned the ark of the covenant of the LORD to Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 15:28) “with shouting, to the sound of the horn, trumpets, and cymbals, and made loud music on harps and lyres.”
What could be more worthy of the festal shout than the resurrection of Jesus?
“Death is swallowed up in victory!”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54–55)
Join us Sunday morning as we turn up the volume and raise a festal shout to the One who “by death has trampled death.” There is still time to invite someone to join you.
Brunch will be served on the front patio from 8:30-11:00am with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. La Gracia will join us in the 11am service with in-ear translation for all who need it.
If you are able to park offsite, please help us leave space for the many visiting guests we anticipate every Easter Sunday. Click here to see the map.
See you Friday and Sunday, Grace!

SONG OF THE WEEK
Death couldn’t hold You down
Hell couldn’t steal Your crown
There’s resurrection power
In Your name! In Your name!
Let all the earth cry out
Lift up a holy sound
Give all the glory now
To Jesus’ name, Jesus’ name!
