With our men away in Oak Glen this weekend for our Fall Men’s Retreat, we have invited a guest to preach at Grace this Sunday.

John Lee is the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Artesia. He was raised here in Southern California, and then began moving east – first to do his undergrad work at Cal Baptist in Riverside, then to grad school at the Southern Baptist Seminary in Kentucky, and finally to the east coast where he served pastoral internships in Washington, D.C., and New York City. John came to First Baptist in 2023, and last month was the convener of the newly launched Los Angeles Preachers’ Conference.

Over the last couple of years, John and Grace have developed a partnership in the gospel. John has been a guest of our Shepherding Elders, taught our ministerial interns, and sent his interns here for training. 

John will be preaching on the theme The Costly Christ from Mark 10:13-31. Kenny Clark will be leading our sung worship. Would you pray for all of our men attending the men’s retreat this weekend? The focus for the weekend is Built for God’s Glory.
